Prof. Dr. Christine Fürst

Prof. Dr. Fürst’ research focuses on integrated landscape and social-ecological systems modeling approaches, methods for environmental assessments and evaluation of ecosystem services and in facilitating public participation in spatial planning processes. Her research focus spreads across West-Africa, Latin America and Europe.
She is the Lead Principal Investigator (PI) for the MIGRAWARE Project

Prof. Dr. Christopher Conrad

Prof. Conrad has extensive knowledge in investigating changing land use dynamics, soils, landscape flora and fauna, and on the application of remote sensing and geodata analysis to support sustainable land and water use across the world particularly in South Asia.

Dr. Justice Nana Inkoom
Scientific Coordinator/ PostDoc/Sustainable Landscape Department/University of Halle-Wittenberg, Germany.
He specializes in landscape ecology, spatial planning, urban and peri-urban landscape dynamics, ecosystem services and spatial modeling. He doubles as a Coordinator and a PostDoc on the MIGRAWARE project with focus on Bayesian Belief Network in the understanding the combination of actors, drivers and factors of environmentally induced migration.

Dr. Janina Kleemann
Senior Scientist/Sustainable Landscape Department/University of Halle-Wittenberg, Germany.
Dr. Kleemann studied landscape ecology and nature conservation. Her area of expertise is ecosystem services, socio-ecological systems research and Bayesian Belief Network modelling. The topic of her PhD thesis was about land use changes and food security in Northern Ghana.

He teaches software engineering, multi-agent systems and simulation. His research concerns complex system modeling and modeling of interactions between human and environment at different scales. Currently, his research focuses mainly on Agent-Based Modeling of climate-migration interaction in the context of West-Africa.
